I love this place! Admittedly, I was a little nervous going there at first because I drive by quite often and doesn't ever seem to get very busy. But wow! It was excellent, maybe my favorite Mexican restaurant yet!
I like how their sauces are just a little spicy, their mole is excellent, they make real guacamole (unlike the other Mexican restaurant down the street that makes the gross puree stuff) and their tamales are as authentic as it gets (wrapped in a banana leaf).
Only dislike is how they prepare their refried beans; not recommended. But seriously, who goes to a restaurant for the refried beans anyways?
No frills - don't expect fancy silverware or amazing service. If you want to be pampered and such, go elsewhere for that type of experience. But if you're hungry for outstanding Mexican food and have the patience to let the waiter/waitress slide here and there (had to ask for place settings more than once... No big deal), then you'll be very pleased!

According to Yelp my family and I have eaten here 9 times in the past 8 months. Always table 7 (except for one time), about 5 times we were the only ones in the restaurant and the other 3 times there were no more the 4 or 5 people, but tonight something was different. We got table 7, the food was awesome and the staff was just as friendly. The only thing that wasn't the same was when I checked in I saw like 7 more reviews and only 5 tables were empty. Part of me was like "Good for them!" But the other part was like "who the heck are these People". I'm glad people are finding a great place with great Mexican food. Just don't sit at my table 7 :(

This is our go to Mexican in Somers Point NJ , food is fantastic, service is phenomenal!! The Nachos are the best ever!! I have not had a bad dish ever! Its a must go, when you are down at the shore.
